A brief but insightful probe into the mind of musician, philosopher, and Philadelphian, Marshall Allen, this film visits the current leader of Sun Ra's Arkestra in the Germantown rowhome that has been the group's headquarters since the late 1960s. From here, Allen continues to share Sun Ra's music and ideas with the world.

Play On, Philly! had us make this video to premiere at their Evening of Harmony event. Through interviewing musical director, Andrés González, and profiling student Sophia along with her mother Lori, we tell the story of POP and celebrate its mission of providing underserved children in Philadelphia a transformative music education experience that develops and inspires the behaviors and personal skills needed for a successful life.

Creating a patchwork of voices to convey the commonality of the survivor experience, we also highlight what it means to leave everything behind and rebuild a life when fleeing abuse. Committee of Seventy tapped us to make a video for their Draw the Lines initiative, a nonpartisan resource for Pennsylvanians who want to end gerrymandering and help democracy work better. Our video focuses on the story of Amanda Holt, a young piano teacher turned fierce advocate for change in the legislative redistricting process.

The Food Trust – Farm to ECE

Everyone knows we need to eat healthy. For some, nutritious options just aren’t available, nor affordable. The Food Trust is an organization that helps local farmers make their fresh offerings more available to the community. Education about a healthy diet is key. They offer in-school demonstrations about where food comes from and what it tastes like as well as community outreach to parents and families.

Following the theme of the event, Our Stories, Our Voices, this video depicts William Spratley telling the story of his daughter’s tragic murder at the hands of her abusive partner and how that event turned William into the inspirational and passionate advocate against domestic violence he is today.

ACHIEVEability permanently breaks the generational cycle of poverty for low income, single parent, and homeless families through higher education, affordable housing, supportive services, community and economic development, and accountability. This is one of three PSA’s produced for the web in collaboration with ACLU of PA to raise awareness about House Bill 1933 that would have prohibited CHIP and Medicaid from covering a range of transition-related services for the nearly three million children and adults in Pennsylvania.

During the hard work of making marriage equality the law of the land, ACLU PA asked PWP to capture the heart wrending story of Mary Beth and Maureen as they confronted Mary Beth’s terminal illness. The video was entered into evidence in Whitewood V. Wolf.
